ABOUT CARROLL ELECTRIC

Welcome to your not-for-profit cooperative. We're glad you are a consumer-member of Carroll Electric Cooperative, Inc. Our service territory incorporates portions of six counties in Northeast Ohio, including Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Tuscarawas and Stark counties. Carroll Electric maintains more than 1,487 miles of line and more than 12,400 meters. 

About Us

Carroll Electric is a not-for-profit cooperative owned by more than 10,000 consumer-members, committed to providing reliable and affordable energy. Founded in 1937 to electrify rural areas, we maintain over 1,480 miles of power lines in Carroll, Columbiana, Harrison, Jefferson, Tuscarawas and Stark counties. 

Carroll Electric is governed by a board of nine trustees who are residential members of the cooperative and who represent specific districts within our service territory. Trustees follow the Carroll Electric Code of Regulations to set policy for the cooperative while adhering to four key cooperative values: accountability, integrity, innovation and commitment to community. The Carroll Electric code of regulations is available to all co-op members.

Board Of Trustees

Carroll Electric is governed by a nine-member board of trustees, representing each of the nine districts in the cooperative's service territory. Trustees must be permanent residential members of the district in which they are elected to represent. Trustees serve staggered three-year terms and are expected to attend regular monthly board meetings, educational seminars and inter- and intrastate meetings.  A current list of board member is provided each month in Carroll Electric's local pages in Ohio Cooperative Living magazine.
