Reporting Outages in Carroll Electric Cooperative System

During outages, we rely on our customers to tell us the extent of the outage. Here are the steps you should take to help us get power restored as quickly as possible:

  1. If inclement weather is the cause of the damage, remain inside to avoid injury from lightning, fallen lines, or other falling objects.
  2. If someone in your household or business requires electricity for health machines, make sure the equipment is functioning properly on back-up power.
  3. If your power is out, determine if the power is also out at the residences and businesses near you.
  4. Unplug large appliances to avoid damage caused by power surges or lightning.
